Good Practices

Around the World

Here, selected universities and organizations report on how they are dealing with the future skills turn, which future skills will be important in the future and how they are promoting them among their students and employees.

Insights from the German Hochschule der Medien

Can we integrate key competence or Future Skills modules and assessments into all undergraduate study programs at a university? Yes, we can – the German Hochschule der Medien has started to do so as early as 2016, with the aim of preparing students for uncertain futures by supporting their individual learning journeys. In the chapter “Formative Assessment of 21st Century Skills” of the volume “Creating the University of the Future”, edited by Ulf-Daniel Ehlers and Laura Eigbrecht, Tobias Seidl introduces a good practice example for teaching and assessing 21st Century Skills for all students at Hochschule der Medien.
